Meet Our Interns

Adil Ahmed, originally from Maryland, is a graduate Finance student at the George Washington University’s Business School. In the SIRP program Adil is supporting a variety of projects at University stemming from financial analysis on capital assets, process improvement, and IT modernization. In addition to supporting projects Adil is involved in managing the SIRP program. Adil comes with several years of private sector experience in the financial services industry, and consulting which he leverages into his SIRP role. 




Prasad Dugad works as an Intern with the GW's Business Intelligence Office. He is currently pursuing his Masters from GWU School of Engineering in Engineering Management and is expected to graduate in spring 2016. He is originally from India, Mumbai and did his undergraduate in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai and graduated in spring 2014. During his undergraduate studies,he worked as a Chief Operations Manager in a Mumbai based NGO - Engage Charitable Trust for two years . His experience working as an Operations Manager where he had an opportunity to work with Business Intelligence tools helped him secure an internship position at department of Business Intelligence through SIRP. After graduating from GWU and the experience he gains working with the BI team, he wants to pursue a career working as a Business Analyst in a major consulting firm.



Sarah Prowitt is a northern Virginia native, who attended The College of William and Mary earning an undergraduate degree in Government with a minor in Public Health. She returned to the DC area to pursue a Master’s of Public Health in Physical Activity at the George Washington’s Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is working with the Office of Online Education and Academic Innovation to expand social media presence of the Online Degree programs at the University as well as coordinate community-building events for Online Students. Sarah has worked in a variety of settings, corporate and military affiliated in regards to health and wellness. She hopes to work in a weight management setting, potentially with the military upon completion of her master’s.




Scott Senkier is working in the Division of IT (PPMO & SCM) and is a resident of the District of Colombia. After growing up in Poughkeepsie, NY, Scott earned his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research & Computer Analysis from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2007. From 2007-2014, he served in the United States Coast Guard as a deck watch officer and law enforcement specialist. His tours included San Diego, CA, Pascagoula, MS, and Washington, DC. In August 2014, he began the Masters program in Information Systems Technology at GWU. His previous leadership, teamwork, and analytical skills should be extremely valuable in the Project and Portfolio Management Office. After graduation in May 2016, Scott plans to bring his IT skills to the federal law enforcement community with a focus on cyber security.
